Iowa NRCS Geospatial Technology Support

This site was developed to provide technical support to NRCS staff who are using geographic information systems (GIS), global positioning systems (GPS), and associated geospatial technologies.

  • Toolkit Home - Link to National NRCS site. Provides support information for the NRCS Customer Service Toolkit.
  • Toolkit Help - Link to National NRCS Site. Provides user guides and how-to examples for Toolkit and ArcGIS Toolkit Extension.
  • ArcGIS - Provides support information and downloads for ArcGIS 8.3, and 9.x, including tools and extensions.
  • ArcView GIS - Provides support information and downloads for ArcView GIS 3.x, including ArcView extensions.
  • Global Positioning Systems (GPS) - Provides support information for NRCS Garmin backpack systems and other GPS information.
  • Mobile/Hand-held computers (PDAs) - Provides support information for various PDAs used for gathering data in the field and in conjunction with  ArcView GIS.
  • Geodata - Provides information about NRCS GIS datasets.
