(Script) NRCS engineers have completed 200 damage assessments. We are working on more. Right now engineers estimate $9.1 million is needed to repair Iowa’s stream banks and bridge crossings. Besides highway engineers, NRCS also works with farmers and land owners to help fix damaged conservation practices. As crops come out and more storm damage to fields to fields is discovered, landowners are urged to contact their local NRCS office.
