Producers wanting to go organic or stay organic can receive up to $20,000 per year in financial assistance or up to $80,000 over six years. This money will help producers install conservation practices to continue or start organic agricultural production. Conservation practices producers may use include cover crops, nutrient and pest management, prescribed grazing and crop rotation. To learn more, visit your local NRCS office and ask about organic production financial incentives. The organic sign up ends Friday, May 29th.
